If I were to believe in definitive classifications of "best" and "greatest" in art, I would declare these guys the best comedy duo in the world. For me, there isn't anyone else in the same neighborhood.
I love them so much, I made up my own genre of top-ten-list-type thingy in order to demonstrate that love. I'll hereby name it a Top 15 Pyramid. I should think that if you read on, you'll get the mechanics of how that works:
It’s all Mark and Jeremy stuff. I'm more disappointed that Johnson doesn't make any appearances than I am that it's all from Peep Show.
4 of My Favorite Quotes and Moments
1. Mark: "Loosen up, Corrigan - that's what happens in the bedroom now: no old fashioned fumbling and kissing, a lesbian rapes you whilst you dream about your mother. It's edgy."
2. Reality Show Host (Webb): “It’s avocado, you c*nt!”
3. Jeremy in response to Sophie saying “The dates might be a bit off” on when her child was conceived: “So, what? It’s not gonna get born old…or young? But they come young anyway so—”
4. Mark: “This is it. This is my Yalta. Dobby’s Poland; I’m wiley Stalin, outfoxing sickly FDR. . . . Except, is FDR dead by Yalta? Jarod’s Truman with the A-bomb! Relax, Mark, not actually at Yalta.”
3 Quotes That Say More Than Maybe They Were Meant to
1. Super Hans on trying to keep Jez in a cult: “Thoughts? You wanna give that sh1t a rest. You’ve been goin’ around thinkin’ thoughts your whole life, and look where that’s got ya."
2. Mark: "I feel guilty about everything, from the pollution caused by Chinese industrialisation to not wearing some pairs of boxers as much as others. I'm sorry, stripey blue - you're just too tight."
2. That Mitchell and Webb Look Season 2 Ep. 4: So many of my favorites are here—dumb names for new lands, Robert knows he’s not as smart as he thinks he is, the Roman VHS and my favorite installment of the nerdy office mates.
#1 Favorite Supporting Character
You don’t get inside his head because, frankly, it’d be a scary place to be. From his crack addiction to finding out that he’s the father of twins several seasons into the series, Super Hans is the ultimate curveball character. Just when you thought that Mark and Jeremy were the perfect representation of the Id and the Superego, Super Hans comes along and demonstrates his SuperDooperEgo. Maybe this was a lame category to end the pyramid on, but I'm pleased to give this unsong hero a shout out.
Love the first favoritism quote in part 4. Reminds me of a This American Life episode where a group of people ( help me out here- I forget why they do this) try to come up with catchy headlines. One of them was. "Scientists discover new oriface for sexually desensitized population"
Loved the "peep show"-I never heard of the show previously. Very funny & the actors are outstanding. I plan on watching as many episodes that I can find on the web! Thanks!

I can't recommend it enough. There does seem to be a slight male/female split on how much enjoyment people get out of Peep Show specifically, which makes sense because you spend the entire series inside the head of two guys, and much of the hilarity draws from them thinking very vaguely relatable things (eg, Mark: "Maybe doing things you hate is the price you pay to avoid loneliness.")
Omg, another honorable mention came to mind today:
Jez: There's only so much happiness in the world, and they're hoarding it all! Mark: That's not how happiness works. Mark's thoughts: It completely is.
